I have been preparing for a career as a psychologist since I was a child, and one of my goals was to be able to help children and families to create and implement a better, happier way of life together. At the time, I didn't know in what direction I needed to start and train for this, but the desire to help families was very much alive in me. Later I found the necessary direction for this; the profession of psychologist and then family therapist became an integral part of my identity.

During the past years, my professional experience has enabled me to meet and work with many people of different age groups (children and adults) and their families, as well as with a variety of problem situations. I am often approached by parents of children struggling with various behavior regulation, emotional and mood problems, or learning difficulties, who experience some sort of blockage in their family life in relation to raising and helping the child; they want advice and guidance. In many cases, such blockages occur at different life cycle transitions, and family members become uncertain because they feel that the previously proven solutions suddenly prove to be insufficient to solve the problems. In the course of practicing my helping profession, I emphasize joint thinking and cooperation with my clients; in the psychological counseling and family therapy process, we approach problematic issues from a systemic perspective, focusing on family relationships, map the resources inherent in the family, and think about possible solutions. At the beginning of the process, we define a common goal with the family members, and moving towards it, in addition to the consultation approach, we also work with various creative methods and techniques in order to bring to the surface the deep roots and often unconscious driving forces of the problems and make more effective coping strategies available, opportunities.

Introduction

I obtained my psychology degree in 2006 at the Károli Gáspár Reformed University. In the course of my career, I had the opportunity to gain experience in several fields, I encountered many different life situations and problems. Initially, I worked in the social field, then in various spheres of education and training, at the Pedagogical Service ("Educational Consultant") and as an institutional psychologist. I currently work in the Expert Committee of a Pedagogical Service, performing diagnostic examinations of children, adolescents and adults of different ages. In addition, within the framework of a foundation, I am also active in the family therapy service of a family that deals with helping people with various injuries and disabilities and their families.

During my career as a psychologist, I have experienced in many cases that it is necessary to help the processing of difficulties and losses experienced in specific life situations and the related feelings on a systemic level, focusing on the family as a whole. In order to provide the widest possible support to the families who turn to me and to deepen the necessary knowledge and professional knowledge, I took part in various professional training courses. In 2014, I graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, majoring in counseling psychology, specializing in family and relationship counseling, and later obtained general and family mediator qualifications there. I obtained my family therapist qualification in 2021, in the training system of the Hungarian Family Therapy Association. In 2021, I continued my studies at the literary therapist (bibliotherapist) specialized further education course at the University of Pécs, where I graduated in 2023.

In the psychological counseling process, as well as in family therapy, creative, art therapy practices - including literary therapy methods - can help new approaches to problems and the mobilization of resources as additional elements of verbal therapies. It is a very important experience for me how effectively different therapeutic methods complement each other in the therapeutic relationship and process can help my clients on the path to development. I myself receive and learn a lot from the families who turn to me; the relationship I have with my clients, the common work process and the progress towards the set goals contribute to my professional and personal development.
