I lived abroad as a child in two different countries, so I have firsthand experience of what it means to be a foreigner and I am aware of the difficulties it entails. As an adult I have been working with foreign families for the past 15 years. As a mother of three, I am aware of the joyful, but challenging nature of parenting. All children are best known by their parents, but there may be situations and difficulties in which a professional can help with change and development. I love the honest, playful, creative world of children. I especially enjoy working with adolescents because of their critical thinking, resistance, and rebellion. Choosing from the Complex Integrative Child Therapist tool kit, I always try to find the best therapeutic tool(s) that suit the personality and problems of the children the best. When working with children, I consider it extremely important to work with the parents as well so that parallel with the child’s recovery the parent-child relationship can also improve and be joyful again.

Introduction

I obtained my first Diploma at the International Business School of Budapest in Business Management. After that, I worked as a Relocation Specialist and assisted families coming from various parts of the world. I am familiar with the difficulties expats experience when coming to Hungary, but I am also aware of the situation of the foreign families permanently living in Hungary. I obtained my diploma in Psychology (Child and Adolescent Clinical Specialization) at Károli Gáspár Református University. As a psychologist at the Pedagogic Advisory, I provided counselling and conducted expert examinations on children with behavioral, emotional, and learning difficulties. Currently I am an Integrative Child Therapy Candidate. In the Yelon Program run by the Hintalovon Children’s Rights Foundation, I worked as a volunteer, where I provided help to children of age 10-18 regarding physical, mental and sexual issues. I also completed the Foundation’s Online Accredited Training of “Children’s Rights and Child Protection”. I carry out my work under professional supervision in order to help the children and their families in the best professional way.
